 Founded in 1972, Villamartin has grown in fame to become one of the most popular & highly esteemed golf courses in Spain. In 1994 it hosted the Mediterranean open, & many other competitions take place both pro am & amateur. The course, with its own clubhouse, is well designed green & lush, as is the picturesque countryside surrounding it.
The Villamartin golf course is dotted with thick woods and bushes made up of pines, cypresses, olives, rosebays and many other varieties. The greens receive the ball well and, although not treacherous, need careful reading in order to score well. The 14th and 17th can be risky because of the natural ravine demanding the player to use all skill to successfully pass those hazards. |
