Hacienda Riquelme is situated by the village of Sucina and the mountains of Sierra de Carrascoy, a beautiful area that has been designated a regional national park. Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort forms part of the Nicklaus Golf Trail A circuit of nine golf courses within a radius of only 25km, and each with a stamp of quality brought by the internationally prestigious company, Nicklaus Design. Situated in the Murcia country side these courses form a triangle of some of the most popular in Southern Spain. Situated close to the airports of Murcia and Alicante they are perfect courses to be including in your Spanish golf break. The 18 hole Hacienda Riquelme Golf Course, designed by Jack Nicklaus is an interesting contrast to the other Nicklaus Golf Trail courses. Riquelmes playing surfaces are grassed with the latest Paspalum varieties decreasing the need for large amount of fresh water. This gives Riquelme an older look and feel making it one of the most unique stops on the trail. Since its recent opening it is fast becoming one of the favorites with those who have played it. The par 72 and 6416m course covers an area of 71 hectares and has a stunning mountain backdrop, large lakes and panoramic views of the coast. This course offers ample fairways which combined with hard to approach greens, and bunkers are ready to complicate your game. A fun course that will bring the best shots out of every player.
